I have been interested in art since I was a child and I still love the smell of crayons! I finally studied oil painting with Terrie Berrier in the early 80's. When my walls could not hold another piece, I began painting commissioned portraits.
Often, when I present a portrait to my clients, they cry! There is something so very moving about seeing yourself or a loved one in vivid color on canvas, especially if they are no longer with us.
While I paint realistically in oils and pastels, I prefer a style that is not photo-realistic. And you will notice that I especially like the wonderful drama of the contrast of lightest lights and darkest darks.
My studio is aboard a houseboat on beautiful Lake Allatoona in the North Georgia mountains. It's a tiny studio with a big window presenting a panoramic view of the lake. Most every weekend, we leave the docks to find a quiet cove to beach our boat. Bliss!
Please give me a call or send an email with any questions you may have. And if you have a moment, please sign my guest book while you're here. I look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you and remember...
